TWO CENTURIES
How can two batsman with 94 each at crease make 100's (both), if it's 7 runs to win and 2 balls left in the innings?
ANSWER:
Three possible ways to achieve that.
2.First ball, the batsman take three runs (with one short run ) and followed by a overthrow boundary. So he scores 6(4+2). Next ball, other batsman hits a clean six to get to his century.
ANSWER:
Three possible ways to achieve that.
1.There is a rule in the game that if the bowl hits the helmet of wicket-keeper while it is on the ground, the batting team will be awarded 5 runs. Now, first batsman edges the ball to take a single and it hits the helmet. So he scores 6 runs (5+1). On next delivery, it will be the other batsman facing with 1 run to win from 1 ball. he can hit a six to complete his century as well.
2.First ball, the batsman take three runs (with one short run ) and followed by a overthrow boundary. So he scores 6(4+2). Next ball, other batsman hits a clean six to get to his century.
Though both of the scenario is highly unlikely to occur, the later one is almost impossible as a overthrow boundary is not easy when one is throwing the ball close to boundary (since they had ran for three, the ball had traveled some distance). So, I think the first case is more likely (even though it can occur accidentally).
